Dear Editor,
As a resident of FR for nearly 9 years, my disgust and anger has been growing over the lack of respect, decency and pride in our community evidenced by the litter which I pick up from my yard. Condoms, fast food containers and the ubiquitous discarding of beer cans and bottles is evidence that FR needs to go on a campaign to seek out and discipline offenders. Cigarette butts do not dissolve when touched by rain, so why do smokers think it's okay to sprinkle their discards wherever they'd like. I would be interested in writing a brief piece for your paper to stir up those who believe trashcans are the only appropriate receptacles for our trash.
